Lincoln, as VEC’s General Manager, is responsible for the direction, control and review of the day to day operations and major functions of VEC within Tasmania. Lincoln is a construction industry professional with broad experience in the management of business operations. Lincoln has a strong financial background and most recently has had an 8 year working relationship with Thiess. Lincoln worked closely with VEC on the VEC Thiess JV on the Brighton Bypass Project and is therefore very familiar with the VEC and Tasmanian culture.

Executive General Manager, Nabeel Sadaka
As Executive General Manager, Nabeel is leading VEC in continued strong operations and growing VEC through new opportunities interstate. He is responsible for the overall effective planning, organisation, direction, control and major functions at VEC.Nabeel is a civil engineer with a wide range of experience including civil infrastructure, mine infrastructure, marine, rail, wind energy and wireless telecommunications. In addition to a wide range of project experience, Nabeel has successfully led business within both large and small organisations.
General Manager, Lincoln Bromwich
Operations Manager, Jack van Ek
As Operations Manager, Jack is closely involved in all of the projects at VEC starting from the estimation stage, continuing right through to the actual construction delivery and final quality documentation phase of each project. Jack leads the construction crew with a hands-on approach, ensuring the successful delivery of the projects, implementing his 20+ years of construction experience at VEC.
Chief Financial Officer, Lisa Hingston
Lisa is the Chief Financial Officer responsible for the company’s financial and administrative operations, and also serves in the position of Company Secretary. As a Chartered Accountant with 24 years in the profession (eight of those as a director in her own practice), combined with her many years experience as VEC’s external accountant, Lisa’s understanding of the business, its operations and requirements is extensive.
Systems Manager, Pax Taylor
As Systems Manager at VEC, Pax is responsible for the overall support to Projects, as well as the maintenance and development of the Accredited Systems within VEC. Pax plays an important role in the preparation of project plans and supporting multiple projects from initial design and estimate through to completion. He also develops project schedules and budgets, organises and supervises project staff and approves contractors, monitors progress of project expenditure and takes corrective action if necessary. Pax manages a team of experts, including HSEQ, Human Resources and Engineering Management.
VEC has a high commitment to employing and training local people. With ~20% of our employees in the Steel Division undergoing an apprenticeship and ~20% of our staff in our Structures division undergoing an apprenticeship in Certificate 3 in Carpentry, we can confidently say that our apprentice ratio is superior, reflecting our strong devotion to upskilling local trades people.
