Positions becoming available within the company are dealt with through the following process:

Application

Candidates may respond to a formal advertisement or submit an expression of interest that is retained on record for 6 months.

Where advertised, positions are open to appropriately qualified people and applications should be submitted in writing accompanied by a CV and references.

Where an applicant wishes to express interest in a position that is not currently advertised, they may complete and submit a Confidential Application for Employment which will be retained by the HR Adviser for 6-months.

Interview

Candidates shortlisted for interview shall participate in a series of pre-determined questions asked by a panel of two or three appropriate managers and/or senior personnel.

More than one interview may be required.

Work history and qualification check

Qualifications and references will be checked for applicants being considered for the position.

Selection of applicant

Successful candidate(s) will be advised of our intent to engage, subject to satisfactory screening.

Screening

National Police Check:
Successful candidates shall participate in a national police check undertaken by a VEC authorised criminal history screening organisation.

Medical Assessment:
Successful candidates must also satisfy a medical assessment (including drug & alcohol testing) undertaken by a VEC approved pre-employment health assessment organisation or medical practitioner.

There are no exceptions to these requirements.

Appointment

Subject to meeting all the above criteria, the successful applicant will be provided a Letter of Offer and/or Terms & Conditions of Employment.

A minimum three (3) month probationary period applies to all appointments.
